Why the hell do so many kids show up the last day of school only to sit in classes for 4-5 hours playing on their phone?
I assume it’s to get the free lunch that has to be provided because their momma or whoever want them out the house and wants to do as little as possible.

Apparently, exams ended yesterday and today must just be a formality to hit the state requirement for minutes. I was hoping for a traffic free morning on the commute today. Oh well, it will start tomorrow…

1. last day of free baby sitting for parents
2. last chance for a lot of kids to have a guaranteed meal

There is a minimum # of days needed to move on to next grade. Laws make our schools have that minimum, clown.

It's mostly so that they can get the hours in for the year that are required by the state. Our kids last day is Thursday. They've been mailing it in for over a week now with no homework or tests. Teachers already sent all of their books, folders, and remaining supplies home early last week.

Report cards are generally sent the week after school ends so the final grades are generally calculated the week before. Summer school usually starts the 2nd week of June so all of that information has to be processed a week before hand.
