Damn. That's going to be a major problem if folks can't get between the Valley and Town.

Now I don’t feel quite as much of a rookie. Something I’ve learned from this. Keep your keys in your pocket and your cell close by. So many people could not find either after the lights went out and they were not allowed to go back in the building.

Hopefully this will be my last earthquake.

If the highway between Anchorage and the Mat. Valley is damaged, it's going to be rough. About a third of the workforce lives in the Valley, and there's only one road in.

Yeah saw a photo earlier of the inside of one of the studios. Starting to come online. Oddly enough my hotel room had tv knocked over, pictures off the wall, lamps over. The iron does not shutoff automatically so I’m extra careful to unplug it. This morning I didn’t but miraculously it was one of the few things that didn’t fall over (and was left on).

Not an earthquake expert by any stretch of the imagination, but they are saying this one was only 25 miles deep. So instead of it being more of a rumble it was more of a violent shake. Just walking around downtown I’m really not seeing much damage. Pretty impressed.

Downtown was shored up nicely after the 64 quake.

Just walking around downtown the only damage I see is looking into the windows of the liquor stores. They may want to rethink that top shelf thing.

Nothing is scarier than being in a big earthquake. You can't even imagine unless you have been in one.
