Talked to my buddy who still lives there and he said it was big but everything is okay.

I was there a few years ago for last big one but the epicenter was much further away from downtown.

Depends on the location of the epicenter; if it centered 100 or < miles, a lot of shite falls off the shelves.

I was stationed in Anchorage for 3 yrs (a long time ago) and we had a few in the 6.7 range but on 1 centered within 100 miles......pretty intense.

I was in Wasilla when the 7.9 quake on the Denali fault happened, it rocked the whole state. Ripped the ground for over 100 miles. It was incredible.
