If this family of hers is so concerned, where were they when she was seeping in the grass in a park?
Exactly. They said 3-4 years, meaning they have no damn clue what shes been doing for a long arse time.
If they cared, they would have intervened long ago.

Yep. There’s a chance she was already dead, then the tractor hit her.
This. Now they can sue the city, landscaping company, and the tractor manufacturer.
Hope they don't get a penny. If they do, that is just furthering the actual problem in this situation. The only blame here is on the dead person and the family.

That's a silly argument. Lots of people have ended up hooked on opioids due to a serious injury.

You people are retarded if you think tons of families haven’t tried every single thing possible “to care” and you eventually just exhaust everything possible x 10 - you don’t stop caring though. I say this with zero experience, it just seems extremely logical.
I blame the city for literally letting stuff like this lay around when and wherever. Gallo should sue them

That’s a pre-“transient” pic. I really hope you’d change your mind if you saw the meth-tested pic. Pre-death of course.

So, Roger, you seem to be familiar with this case: what was teh relationship between the woman and her family? Did she have a family? Did they know where she was? Had they tried to intervene previously only to be rejected? How would they have forced her into an institutionalized environment, if they knew about this circumstance?
What do you know about her addiction? One in three homeless folks suffer from some sort of serious mental illness (most often schizophrenia or a serious bipolar condition). You've eliminated that from your calculus?
I honestly have no idea about the answer to any of these questions, but i am reluctant to engage in misanthropic stereotypes to explain it.

Shitty, they don't know if shes been homeless for 3 or 4 years.
You ever have a family member homeless for 3-4 years? Me neither.

I obviously don’t have the information on this situation to question these people’s parenting. I think that it’s pretty hard to argue that any chance of recovering from addiction HAS to begin with the addict.
I’ve known people from almost every family background who have ended up as addicts of some kind. Most families fight really hard to help them to recover, but they can’t make them, no matter how much they love them or were good parents to them.

Some families have a limited amount of cares to give. They just decided to care for and raise her daughter instead. Has been a common family practice for 100s of years- if you skip a generation of caring it’s more efficient…
hu hu hu how many family members you have homeless for unknown years?? I ain’t seen it in my family here so that’s all I need to know about that. Bless your little heart RogerTheRetard you beautiful dumb frick

Don't get me wrong, I get it. You do have to draw a line somewhere, but if theirkid is 3-4 years on the street in their mid 20s, maybe looking inward a bit might help.

Must have been pretty high to not wake up when they started cutting the grass she was passed out in.

Hopefully the family members don't get a dime out of this, but that's not to say it's their fault or they didn't try their hardest to help her out.

Not to be cold but….think long and hard about your involvement in this woman’s life, right?

While I had the same pause reading that, I’m sure there were stretches where they tried to be involved but had very limited info on her day to day besides it being pretty bad.
It’s easy to jump on the family but sometimes there’s not much you can actually do if the persons deep in their addiction
