Also

Let’s show much Landry is willing to jsut buttfricking lie to us

The Zurich classic averages a 40 million a year economic impact, and as stated that event averages 40k a day

This event, where LIV itself has announced the biggest single day crowd ever of 15k, that only has 3 rounds as well, will be a 60 million dollar impact

It’s fricking lunacy

Come back with some real numbers and support for those numbers instead of just producing shite.

I would be 100% on board for liv to pay Nola to host, as well as covering the cost to get the course in shape (which is what they have done elsewhere and what was originally reported)

This is a fleecing of Louisiana

Umm.

In exchange for the money, Henry said the LIV Golf event is expected to generate about $60 million in spending for New Orleans.

But leaving out this part...

You're getting a 2 million dollar course renovation and and a major boost in spending. Not even remotely a fleecing.

I mean why not just say it will produce 1 trillion dollars in economic spending while you’re at it?

That number is a joke

That the LA taxpayer is paying for, no thanks.

Local tiger rental businesses in NOLA are happy with the news.

So it drops three financial numbers but you're totally cool believing the first two because they helps your point but ignore the third because it doesn't suit your argument. Got it.

This would be pretty awesome for me, I live close to City Park and play (extremely extremely poorly) at that Course sometimes.

Stupid overall though

Dude come on man. Saying it will have a 60 million annual economic impact is insane. Completely insane and I showed real world support why that is crazy

And the first two numbers aren’t estimates, that’s what the state is factually showing is an agreement. The only estimate is the 60 ‘million. So yeh, that’s the only number worth questioning

I just don’t understand how the deal got to this point to start? Has it always just been Louisiana begging LIv to come here?

Just to highlight the point again

LIv Nashville and LIv Indianapolis had economic impacts of 20-25 million

And those courses required zero funding from taxpayers and the courses got paid by Liv

However, our master Jeff Landry somehow puts us in a spot where we are the ones paying but magically the economic impact will be threefold eventhough we are a much smaller market than the two cities above?

This is a frick Landry thread, not a frick LIV one

What is an accurate estimation of the economic impact to host cities?

Also, your attendance record source is a year old. I didnt click it but does take all the tournaments played after that article into account?

Landry must really want to be a one term governor

I don't see a Democrat winning statewide in Louisiana in 2027, certainly not with their current bench.

And the only way he loses to a fellow Republican is if the business community 100% rallies behind another pro-industry Republican in order to counter Landry huge campaign war chest and help match the enthusiasm and dedication of his core support block.

Thanks. I would expect NOLA would at least match that. That would make this a profitable initiative. What are everyone's issues with the thought?

The way the Saudis throw money around shouldn’t they be giving the money to the state?
