This fricking a-hole has led us down a slippery slope...this will NOT stop with the next mayor. There is more on the way.

When you cater to communist's like TakeEmDown NOLA once, there will be no stopping them.

Mitch has inspired me to push for the removal of Confederate street names and Confederate symbols in public places in New Orleans. I'm contacting the NFL, NBA, NCAA, businesses, and trade organizations asking that they take their business elsewhere until these vestiges of white supremacy are removed. Folks backed away from North Carolina because of a minor bathroom controversy. Just think about the PR nightmare once the world knows you chose to hold your event in a city that continues to honor Confederates with street names. Don't thank me. Thank Mitch.

Even better when you observe them up close. Scary how intolerant they are.

Sports leagues are very PR oriented. The LAST thing that they'd want is to be tied into something like that.

Think about how silly it is whining over a bunch of confederate monuments going down.

Mitch said he cried about them.

Oh my god, that's the winning argument. You got us. No one among us lives in Nola. It's an elite secret place that we never got invitations to.

Your birth certificate probably says Jefferson Parish.

His sister went down with the Affordable Care Act. And he will go down with the monuments. Neither can win a statewide election again.

He's probably from NJ, moved here a couple years ago, and now considers himself a native

From the beginning, I've only been talking about these four particular monuments," Landrieu said.

This makes no logical sense. If those four statues were abhorrent due to slavery/oppression/confederacy, then what about all the other things in the city? If that's his reasoning for those four, then that same reasoning must apply to every building and street in the city. If anything with a civil war connection must come down, then everything with a civil war connection must come down.

He is from New Jersey but couldn't get into a real Ivy League school. Tulane accepted his money and him, and after just three months he could finally pronounce Tchoupitoulas, Calliope, and Carondelet just like a local.
He has a retro Schwegmanns grocery bag and LOVES the uniqueness and culture of the city! He waits tables now, and may have to move to Texas or Seattle for a job in his field, but he'll always be a true New Orleanian.

St Bernard Parish should buy the monument and place it at the parish line facing towards the 9th Ward.

For bonus points.... St Bernard can take the Jackson monument, since Mitch set precedent, and place it at the Chalmette Battlefield
