Besides divide the city even more?
so where are you hanging out in the city all the time to see all this dividing going on??? I want to come check it out because as far as I can tell race relations are some of the best I've ever seen in the city, but you may have much more knowledge on this than I do

Remember the 2nd District elected a man that, I believe, was under federal indictment at the time. This was less than 10 years ago.

I'm not saying they don't impact the tax base at all, but I don't think they will think twice about buying their CC's or diet cokes in the city limits.

Certainly won't think twice about eating at LPG or Peche vs staying on Vets at Atomic Burger and Chilis

I work with about 75/25 mix of burb residents/city residents. That 25 city residents don't give a flying frick what happens to these statues.

I stay in the quarter pretty often. Really the only part of new Orleans I enjoy. But it doesn't take 20/20 vision to see that race relations have plummeted in recent years. And this statue bullshite is doing more harm than good.

Exactly. They don't think about it because rational people buy food and drink when they are hungry and thirsty. They don't think "oh I'm hungry. But I'm in the city limits so ima wait til I'm home to eat" they walk down the street and get them lunch

It's not about the gawdamn statues. It is about power and control. Some people in this country get off on controlling others; That is the libs, and so called "protected" citizens. They love to see how far they can push things to achieve their goal of control.

Nah, people from chalmette aren't going to walk down the street. They may order in.

They drive from their McMansion straight into the secured parking garage.

Speaking of trees. Are you a maple, or an oak?

Always found myself more of a Sycamore. Look pretty decent, can be kind of messy at times, but when it is all said and done, I'm just kind of hollow on the inside.
