Just played it and have also never heard it. It's terrible and I would have turned the station quickly if it had came on, which is the same thing I do for alt rock and pop radio.

Can’t speak for anyone else, but ive been subscribed to Sirius XM satellite radio for like the last 17 or 18 yrs.. i like it better than Spotify , Pandora et al b/c there are tons of espn and fox sports stations , news stations and stuff that aren’t available on the other services.. anyway, they have tons of music stations too like 80s on 8, Yacht Rock and on and on- i say all that just to say that I haven’t heard any contemporary music in almost two decades .. gun to my head, i could not name a single Taylor Swift song , much less Miley Cyrus or Lana del Rey or anyone else … So it is possible .


ETA i do like Olivia Rodrigo b/c she’s a beautiful Filipina and looks identical to a woman i used to date in the Philippines .. plus her music isn’t bad .

Never heard of her and tried out several songs. Not my cup of tea.

His daughter (at least someone claiming to be his daughter) is posting a lot to social media saying the family is furious. Her mom is threatening to sue him. Not sure why. Seems messy.

or, and stay with me here, they heard the song, didnt like it, didnt know or care who sang it, tuned it out, and really HAVENT heard of her.

there seems to be some sort of theory on this thread that all of us 40-50 somethings are just pretending not to have heard of her. myself, i only heard of her this very year bc a friend of mine posted a clip of Ultraviolence on IG, and i liked the song enough to ask her who it was and I added the song to a couple playlists. other than that, i have no idea what other songs she sings. there are probably many songs that i would recognize from commercials or movies or something but honestly have no idea that it's her. that doesnt mean i'm just "claiming" not to have heard of her before, i truly had no idea who she was until very recently.
