Man that's a WAYYYYS!!! They must've gotten turned around bigly and just chose a direction to go in and hope for the best.

It looks like they would've had to cross under a HWY... why not stop there? I haz confuse

My guess is they were either sleeping, or it was just pitch black dark out, and with a 4yr old, I wouldn't have tried to get out of a boat in the dark either.

I guess so. But where they did they cross?? I see no bayou or coulees running under the hwy

If you look straight north of the pond they were in there is a bayou or something that goes under the highway.

Great news that both are found safe! Now I can get picky. THat would be a swamp around the Garber home, not marsh.
