Not sure what that’s even supposed to mean.

Great man, always working hard, even scanning cards himself. Took time to time to talk, even to my kids, who always got a kick out of it. He'll be missed.

Dude’s from Jennings. A real, literal shithole of crime and meth, so factor that in.

I also recall him riding a very tall unicycle in the parking lot during 80s/90s.
He still rode that thing up until about 10 years ago. At 80 years old he would ride his bicycle down W. Bayou Pkwy, from his house, to the club every morning about 0230. He would work out, go to church at St. Mary's, and then to the airport to fly his plane. He was back at the front desk by 0900, just in time to eat lunch with his wife at 1100 on the dot. He ran a tight ship and told those kids that worked there, "if you have time to lean you have time to clean." No one worked harder than he did, he had pride in what he built over all those years.

Im just saying everyone I know from Laffy when they start talking about it they always mention how awesome Reds is. Its really nice but looks like a normal big city resort club. The price is legit though

The closest thing we have in Austin is lifetime fitness. It's nowhere near Red's, and it's almost three times the price.

“Dallas” tiger doesn’t know what he’s talking about don’t respond to that nonsense. There’s always one dumbass that tries to kill the whole vibe on any thread like this. They just can’t help but think negatively.

Reds is no doubt the best gym in Louisiana. That place is awesome. Red was always there when I went and he'd greet me every time. This was early 2000s. Our company gave us a discount.

I'm not sure that is accurate .

Up until the last couple years he was always out cleaning up the parking lot. I can't believe the low class people that would throw out junk (cups/bags/cans, etc...) into his parking lot. It didn't phase him, he would be out there a couple times a day picking up junk by hand. The man was a legend that walked the walk not just talked the talk

lived in several states and had many gym memberships, the thing about Red's was it was family owned, he was personally involved, and tried to make sure everyone's needs were attended to, as opposed to the national chains, or money laundering shite holes used by roid head owners as a means to facilitate their drug running, Red's was ever improving and trying to stay up with whatever the people wanted, it was a lot more than just a "gym"

There is a large 2 story women's only section nearing completion now. Once that is complete, the old women's only area will be converted to allow an expansion of the main downstairs gym . That area will be much better with the added space
