"Getting an aldi" sounds like something you'd have to pay extra for in the red light district.

Aldi freaking blows. I don't get the fascination. Shitty selection of generic items.

Aldi is basically what you get when you combine a Trader Joe's, Dollar General, and Costco, but only keep the worst aspects of each store.

Northwest would be the appropriate direction, but it's on the "wrong" side of Johnston, is the point I believe

Aldi is pretty badass for canned goods.

Produce prices at Aldi (at least in my area) are significantly lower than anywhere else.

I don't understand this board's love affair with ALDI. They sell off brand, shitty food at low prices.

I was excited when my town got one and after experiencing the sub par quality of their products, I understand why they can sell stuff so cheap. It's not good.

They can get an Aldi on every corner. It’ll still only be Lafayette, home of USL.

That’s how I feel about Trader Joe’s for the most part (never been to Aldi). They have some gimmicky packaged items that seem fun, but most of the things I’ve bought there are disappointing.

I also never really understood all the raving for the produce there. There wasn’t very much selection and most of it is wrapped up in plastic/packaged so you can’t really feel it or see what it looks like.

I think I’d like TJ’s more if it wasn’t a madhouse all the time and too small to handle the people. I was only going 3-4 times a year anyway, but haven’t been since sometime in 2019 due to the pandemic line waiting they’re doing.

They were going to extend the road from our neighborhood to curran or whatever road this place will be on across from wallyworld), the neighborhood Karens went crazy and put a stop to the road extension for now.

Central is getting one as well. It will put someone out of business. There are already 4 options within 10 minutes of each other.

Has cheap snacks for kids and routinely has good deals on boneless chicken thighs. Everything else in the store is meh or you can get better deals at a larger grocery store..

Of course it is. Stay close to their beloved river ranch as if Aldi is some high end brand chain.
