That's okay. We're good.

That’s not cryptic at all. Ok, tell us. Spare the erotica though

it publicly came to light that the founder (Father Maciel Maciel) had been banging the maids and mexican kids but it was known privately to the church/bishops/cardinals/pope for some time and they stayed hush about it. There were also many members of the order who had been accused and were simply moved to new dioceses. Also, a lot of the guys who are priests are running away from their gay thoughts lol. dudes in the seminary get caught fricking each other all of the time.

You left the Church because people sin? Pussy.

Yeah, cuz no one ever heard of any Protestant preacher being a sexual pervert.

Father Gil in laff.
He had one dude under his wing that eventually committed suicide once they started investigating in vp. Pretty sure Gil covered for him.

nawww.....left the seminary because of all that bull shite. left the church because it's a crock of shite. I was spending far too much time watching a dude in a costume do magic tricks.
I was also sick of how folks who considered themselves good people would turn a blind eye to pedophilia because it might damage the church's image if they did something about it.

I can't believe that anyone gives hard earned money to that racket.
It seems to be only about schools these days. All my friends who are involved in the Catholic Church seem to be obsessed with schools and who else goes there but not much else.

Priest can be quite shady. Then they grow up to be Bishop’s.

This is, by far, the most heinous thing I can imagine a supposed 'man of God' doing, outside of going full aloha snack bar.
Protecting, and thus enabling, the sexual abuse of children is unconscienable. They will pay for their sins, but I'd rather they put a stop the abuse, so no more kids grow up to be messed up adults.

This is what I don't understand.
How can they not realize that the church's reputation is being hurt WAY MORE by them siding with the child rapists?
The only reason I can come up with for protecting them is that the problem is so pervasive that the church might literally be wiped out, or close to it, if all the criminal priests were prosecuted.
I do know this: Jesus would not approve, and there are some hot spots in Hell waiting for those scum.

Pope Benedict was heavily involved in moving priests around to keep accusations on the hush hush. The Legionaries of Christ pushed Father Maciel as this holy figure who was a great example to follow. All the while they knew what type of man he really was but they just kept on with it. My sister is a consecrated woman in Regnum Christi, which is part of the Legionaires. She wasn't allowed to go to weddings when Maciel was in charge. One of the sacraments of the church smh. She missed my other sister's wedding. People always want to believe that the organization they are part of is good but shite, the catholic church (and other religions, it isn't just a catholic problem) really needs to figure out what it is about the priesthood that attracts pedophiles and people who will cover for them.
There was this creep priest I went to confession to when I was like 14 and i confessed jerking off. He started asking weird details like "did you think about a boy when you did it? did you think about a man?" just weird crap. all the kids knew he was a creep but the parents were just "oh he has that white collar on he must be a good guy"

The OP wasn't about that. It dealt, I thought, with a prevalent and ongoing problem in the Roman Catholic Church that persists in a greater percentage among their priests than among the general population. I didn't suggest different from your comment or even address it for that matter.
Respecting your comment, why not say

Yeah, cuz no one ever heard of any coach, teacher, parent (pick your group) being a sexual pervert.
What's your point?
Mine was that an unmarried, celibate priesthood is an unhealthy practice with predictable and observable results. It was not that the problem of sexual perversion is unheard of among Protestant pastors or other groups.

Actually one of the main reasons I am now a Methodist.
We have our own issues, though, like the push to allow gay clergy and recognize gay marriage. The people who push that crap are almost as bad as the pedo priest defenders. Both are acting contrary to what the Bible teaches, IMO.
