People on either side largely don’t understand the ramifications of this. We in the modern era don’t understand the concept of mass starvation. We Americans are going to be fine. At worst we lose some weight, which is quite frankly needed. No one in this country is going to starve to death over this.

Not the case in the third world. We’re going to end feeding the world if we haven’t already. Millions are going to starve to death over our reaction to this. I think that most people don’t understand that the big and powerful countries have been preparing for something like this at the expense of the Third World. The ugliness is only starting, especially once China can’t feed its people and steals all of Africa’s food.
