Problem with the SPR is it can’t be distributed easily. I think the max they can distribute is 2 mbpd. And that’s probably assuming we’ve had a decline in other areas. There is just not enough infrastructure to make up for the 20 mbpd that goes through the straight.

It will take longer to get the SPR to market than the spike will last.
Doesn't mean we wont do it. Already going to relax Russian sanctions to help out.

I picked a fine time to buy a vehicle that gets about 10mpg. Luckily I don't drive much, hence why I bought it.

Why does gas always go up in price so quick? We’re less than a week into this conflict, and gas is up 70-80 cents!! Isn’t today’s gas made from feedstock from a month or so ago? But when the price of crude goes down, the prices at the pump taken forever to go down!!
It really doesn’t have much to do with the cost of the crude….it is totally consumer demand driven. I’ll garantee that the first thought into everyone’s head when they read Cajun’s post was to run out and fill up their cars with gasoline.

shite, baw. It was the first thing I did after I read his post. Well…after I answered some work emails, even though I’m supposed to be off today. Then went on a walk with the wife. But after that, was the first thing I did on my way to Costco because the truck was 58 miles to Empty.

I place an order on a brand new platinum pair this morning. Financed at 24 months for only 6.8% APR.

Bring on the EVs. They are going to be more economical for a lot of people.

think he put it down to about half the previous levels in order to try to save damages for midterms.
I’ll help you here:
“ In 2022, the Biden administration sold 180 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve over 6 months. The sale lowered the SPR to its lowest levels in 40 years and was the largest ever release of oil from the SPR.”
