hands down and bar none the most overrated band of all time.

Kurt Cobain's suicide is the only reason they get the hype. period.

Cobain putting that shotgun in his mouth was the best thing that ever happened to 3 people:

Courtney Love
Dave Grohl
Kurt Cobain - death is a great career move.

By FAR! Cobain didn't have half of Dave Grohl's talent.

if Grohl was in a band like Nirvana, they would probably just hide him out back behind the drums.

He was great, but it wouldn't have lasted.

He is a legend because he didn't live long enough to become ordinary.

I was born in 1975 and can confirm that the mid-late 80s and very early 90s were great.

Biggest band in the world during their run.

Knocked off michael jackson for the #1 spot on billboard when In Utero dropped.

Metallica, one of the biggest rock bands of all time put out Black (Master of Puppets and And Justice for All were better) and GNR released a 2 CD album.

And Nirvana smoked them both.

One of the most underrated from that era IMHO.

It’s a great album and not underrated at all. It’s very highly rated.
