In high-school a not so bright classmate had a cheat sheet tucked in his sleeve. Finished his test in about 10 minutes and promptly walked up to the teacher with a big smile and handed her the test, and the cheat sheet.

In our Ordinal Differential Equations class, our professor (and head of the department) would have the test questions on the blackboard when we arrived. He would give a few opening remarks and leave the room. Instructions were to drop off the exam in his office when complete.
I was very proud of the class in that absolutely no one ever cheated in the class. One guy asked a question once, and no one answered him.
If you made an algebra mistake in this class, it wasn't counted against you as he explained if you didn't know algebra you wouldn't be there. However, a DE or calculus mistake would cost you the entire problem. No partial credit on the individual questions.
God, I loved that class.

I remember hearing about a couple of guys who broke into the physics building and stole the test out of the professor’s desk. I don’t remember how they got caught or what happened to them.

They climbed through the ceiling lol. You could see the scuff marks on the wall from their shoes where they got in

I knew a guy who was a Kappa Signa at LSU who got busted cheating on one of, if not the final exams before graduating. This was back in the 1980’s. While everyone was celebrating with money they got from selling back books, he was probably praying. I don’t know what happened to him.
In high school, our Physics class covered a ton of formulas before the first test. Someone asked the teacher if we would get a formula sheet for the first test. The teacher said he’d give us the formulas we needed. What a relief! In test day, he handed out the test and someone asked about the formulas. He said “oh yeah” and wrote in huge letters on the blackboard “F=ma” and said we could derive all the formulas we needed from that. Believe me, EVERYONE cheated in some form or fashion on the second test with formula sheets. We felt he had been less than honest so we could be, too.

When it came time for the final, several girls were wanting to study at the library and asked me to study with them and they were studying the test bank for the final.

Okay that’s what I thought but I wasn’t sure if I was remembering right because it sounds so outlandish like some mission impossible shite

I cheated on a few tests in high school physics, one of my best friend's brothers was teacher, I don't think he cared at all. I didn't brings notes to the test or anything, I just straight up looked at my buddy's test

This wasn't at LSU, but I stupidly let someone copy a test. The professor knew who copied who and only made us retake the test.
My dumb arse thought I was still in high school, I guess. Very fortunate no more came of it.

As an LSU freshman in 1978 I heard about certain frats having copies of finals. I wasn't interested and took my D in a required Mechanical Engineering class.
Switched to General Studies the next semester.

My French professor at LSU would let us use an English/french dictionary (roughly 1/3rd of the test was vocab based) and would leave the room for the hour long test
She knew what was what.

A kid in my medical school class got kicked out for cheating
Our histology exam was still done on like a piece of paper where you hand wrote the answer for what was on the slide.
Like a piece of paper with lines numbered 1 to 50 and you had to fill in the answers 1 to 50 in pen or apparently pencil or whatever.
The professor handed back the exams marked up in red pen like an old school test.
The kid erased answers that were incorrect and marked as such, and filled in correct answers, and brought it to the professor and was like "hey you marked some correct answers as INCORRECT.... I'm owed some points!"
Unfortunately the professor photocopied all of those pieces of paper before handing them back.

I too cheated on that final, but did not get caught

cheating at LSU was quite easy.
but like others said. i would typically learn lists of things by use of an acronym, and just write down the acronym on the desktop as a reminder.
but i would normally just remember it all from studying the acronym, lol.

Graduated in Finance in 2004. I remember there being a test bank for Econ 2035 that floated around for a year or so prior to graduation. That's really about it for me.

I had access to test banks for most of my classes at LSU.
They were only beneficial for the classes where the test bank wasn’t huge.
I learned quickly it was just easier to study for an exam than try to memorize test banks that had 100 questions a chapter and your exam was covering 6-8 chapters lol
