When I was a freshman at LSU in 1991 some guy that worked in a printing office was selling Math 1021 final exams for $150. I was pissed because i had already dropped the class. I later found out the guy was caught, and they had to throw out the 1021 Final exams and go with whatever your grade was pre final exam. The guy selling exams was kicked out of school.

The fraternity I was in had a file cabinet of tests from previous members. Apparently the tests didn’t change that much from year to year. Usually if you memorized the old tests you would be fine.

Don't show that. Show me a camera, that could be hidden, and apparently operated remotely. It would also need to track a target and get a focused picture of someone cheating, which, a still shot single picture, would be hard to prove anything

I'll help...it didn't happen like that. The absolute highest skilled and professional cameras were used and manually operated, yet some small school poor college professor pulled it off?

Well, I disproved your argument that cameras were “ large black and white monstrous device(s)”. So now you’re trying to argue something else - which in reality is a minor detail.

You need to go back and reread the original post with the story because it appears you are also wrong about what happened. The issue was a student was going into the professor’s office and stealing the answers to the test before hand, using keys he had taken from a relative. It doesn’t say the “professor” took pictures of the students who were cheating on the test. In fact, the poster mentioned when he went to take the test there was a sign on the door saying it was cancelled.

As mentioned, I’ve heard the basics of this story before, specifically the part about it getting reported in Playboy, from folks who I know who were at LSU around the time. It involved an LSU student athlete as well as a relative of a politician.

When I was teaching as an adjunct (at a school that had an honor code that was generally followed by all) I caught a girl in class cheating. I confronted her and she withdrew. She didn't do well on the test, either. I wrote my tests in ways that cheating would not help. You had to understand the concepts.

No ypu didn't moron. You said a college professor giving an exam used hidden camera to find cheating. You and your lying dad are full of shite.

It didn't happen in the 60's, period. Technology didn't exist, especially for an average college broke professor giving exams

Idiot

I never said anything of the sort.

It appears that you misread what another poster said because that poster didn’t say that a professor used a camera to “find cheating” during a test. That post clearly said the test was cancelled. They knew prior to the test that someone had stolen the answers.

Perhaps instead of trying to be an internet tough guy, you should practice your reading comprehension.

Some ROTC guys broke into the professor's office prior to the third exam in my thermo III class at AU. This particular prof would put one nearly impossible problem on every test, and if you managed to solve it, you were virtually assured of an A. Well, sure enough, that was the test I managed to solve that damned problem on.

Dr. Roy Knight?

Nope, the only female prof in the thermo group at the time, can't recall her name. Short lady, glasses, may have had reddish hair.

However, while taking the test, I found that making the cheat sheet actually helped me study, and I aced the test without needing the cheat sheet.

I remember spending a lot of time typing notes/formulas into my TI-86 calculator, but that helped me learn the material so I didn't need to check the notes that much.

Yes, knew a guy who started football for Rice in football all four years. He got caught cheating on a final exam the last semester (or quarter) and was prevented from graduating. Zero tolerance for him despite no trouble to that point and four years service as a starting FB.
