Kids using “bru” or “bruh”

My 14 year old step son uses this word 1000 times a day. If he gets upset “bru, that’s not fair!” Or if he sees something funny “bru!” Or if it’s something nice like a gift “thanks bru.” This morning we got into an argument on the way to school about seeing his gf and he prob said bru 10 times in the argument. I wanted to slap his teeth out of his mouth at that point bc I ain’t your bru. He uses it in texts too. “Alr bru.” Anyone else have kids using this word a thousand times a day in every conversation?
Yea, get off my lawn, bru!

We said bruh when we were kids. I’m glad it has proliferated.

Damn, baby sitting another man’s kid that doesn’t even respect you. Tough scene!

It’s best used when a ronnie fishing charter captain is illegally boarding your boat.

36 and bruh has been in my vernacular for probably 20 years.

Are you new to teenagers? Bru and bruh have been used for decades.

I've used "bruh" all my life but the kids today use it in every sentence.

DFW.
I’ve used bruh/bru since I was in my 20’s, in my 40’s now, but never this often or obsessively.
ETA: “Bru, but I wanna see her tonight bru, that’s not fair bru, why you gotta be like that bru.” Like holy shite

At least they're not saying "cuh" any more.

I prefer the more Chalmation/North Kenner 'brah' iteration.

My 7 and 9 year old girls say bruh and I think it is great. I personally love the word.

Definitely more an Ascension Parish thing from the 80s/90s
Hung out in Gonzales in 92, even the dogs were saying bruh or brah.

My 12 year old has graduated to bretheren a lot but still uses bruh…. I have always said brother and bro so it doesn’t bother me

That is because it happens to be your favorite word in the dictionary. Now go back to work and stop posting on TD
