I was wondering why nobody thought it at least a bit peculiar why this lady was focused on and filming these kids before they even did anyhthing.

The only firm conclusion that I've been able to draw from this entire incident is that this particular lady is an absolutely terrible wretched human being.

It is a spot on analogy. A boss has always had that choice. Mobs now have that choice due to technology and social media. No one likes it but trying to regulate it or legislate it is a worse idea than allowing it to run its natural course. Not so long ago a person could say something and it was only heard by those in hearing distance. If someone was in hearing distance, was offended, and willing to do so they could take the speaker to task for their words. Hearing distance is now worldwide. There are cameras EVERYWHERE. If one is in public and does something that is offensive to someone they both have exercised their rights to free speech....and have seen the repercussion from their speech that is no longer limited in scope to those within hearing distance. Times have changed. One can either accept that inevitability or live in a past which never actually existed. The former is reality, the latter is fantasy. Personal choice.
