My point is simply that you can't be 300 lbs and say "frick it, I have a wedding." It wasn't two weddings. It was a lifelong pattern.

I can't tell if you're just dense and completely missing point, or if you're just trolling.

For your sake I'm going to assume the latter.

I don't need you to do anything for my sake. I need you to either start walking the walk or just be quiet and be fat.

In what context? What exactly was the discussion?

haha yea I agree with that. Look its ok to binge for a night, its quite healthy for the mind especially to do it. what matters is overall macros. we don't live in a bubble, the macros count over a week/month/year like you said.

what i mean by that is a one night binge won't hurt anybody if after a week he is still down 3000cals overall or over a month if you are down 15k-24k calories. But the opposite is true to. Being up 2000 over a week is nothing but that adds up over months/years.

I agree

I'm not denying I got to be huge because of lifelong pattern. I don't understand how you nor Artie Rome are mixing up my words so badly.

How the hell is that not obvious? I have lost weight again since January, and if I keep doing things the way I am, I will continue to lose weight. Even if I hamper my own progress with an occasional bad day like weddings and holidays.

think the thing that bothers me so much in these threads is every ones inability to give up alcohol and their overall reliance on it. I guess I don't understand it because I grew up in a household who only drank at special occasions or at most on Saturday night. I also don't drink that often even when at parties and this is especially true when I am trying to lose fat.

I no longer drink during the week, and I've cut back alcohol consumption on weekends most of the time. Again, wedding receptions I did not.

We're in south Louisiana. Alcohol is prevalent in our culture. Most people are raised with food and drink as staples of all events. I don't NEED alcohol, but I sure as hell do enjoy it and want to partake. So I will, as long as I can incorporate it into my overall diet and continue to lose weight.

I've said for years that that a-hole with the supersize me BS only fooled dupes. It's calories. You can lose weight eating nothing but McDonald's.

the Supersize me documentary wasnt just about how bad McDonalds is... It was also explaining the culture of eating big fast food meals for every meal daily is bad. He had a rule that is the server asked if he wanted to supersize it he would have to. When he drove through Texas on 2 times did they not ask to super size it.

I remember someone saying that a person who was not losing was not losing because they were jogging and gaining muscle in their legs. I remember disputing that.

Upvoted, thanks.

I like to learn different methods. Looks like you're just cycling carbs. How many lift days compared to rest days?

You don't really think any of this is funny. I don't either. I have watched you struggle with your weight for years and watched you ignore everything you know about how to get healthy. But post another gif and in two years we will have this exact same talk, except you will be two years older.

whats your weight and BF%? unless you have no concern about building strength and muscle, you might want to up the protein some, even if it brings you to the verge of being out of keto.

220lbs, ~20%

My current target is 0.9g/lean body mass pound.

How much higher would you suggest? And only on lifting days or every day?

I just wanted to point out that I don't believe the calories in calories out and a calorie is a calorie nonsense. I have read a few articles that dispels the myth of the first law of thermodynamics when dealing with nutrition. Some systems are more efficient than others and can add more calories to achieve weight loss.

I can attest to this. For the first 2 weeks of my diet, I ate nothing but chicken and green beans with rice with protein drinks (horrible diet). I stuck to this to the T. It was roughly 2200 calories in total. I lost maybe half a pound. Now, I am doing a keto diet at 2350 calories and at the 2 week mark I have lost 10 lbs.

I believe the diet works or doesn't work because that particular diet is in sync with the way your body naturally works. If you bloat on carbs, stay off of carbs. If you workout better with high fats and no simple carbs, do it.
