Really hot temperatures that occur during the afternoon. Don't think we will make it. Heat Index over 100, never seen that... except every month during the summer

Horrendous conditions in BR. Triple digit heat index, virus, statues, etc.
High yesterday and Tuesday was 93. Average temp for the day is 92. We won’t make it this way.

Why won’t yall just wear a mask? Not only does it stop corona but it filters out Sahara dust and keeps your face from getting stung by murder hornets

Actually it was hotter in 2019 for the most part in BR. We’ve had a decent June really and July so far is close to normal.

Even the trusted Birmingham meteorologist James Spann essentially called out cnn in fear mongering.
Basically called it “summer “

CNN just can’t stop themselves . They absolutely have to be giving their article writers an extra incentive to come up with as many “put the public in a panic” type articles as they can

I know fear sells news, and this is probably recency bias. But damn it seems they are really stretching it this year.

If you notice, the hottest parts of the country are where the largest concentrations of Black people live. Therefore, we can conclude that the sun is racist.

And White people need to address their climate privilege, which contributes to the overall systemic White supremacy in this country.

Local BR weather is the same way especially Jay Grimes.
You’d think it was a rare event. Saharan just snd a high heat index.
The just levels might be high, but it’s no big deal and the high temps are near normal.

Now to scare you they forecast rain amounts by the week. They’ll say we are expecting 1-3 inches and heavier local amounts and at the end mention that’s the seven day outlook.

Local stations have invested big time in weather. Each has four weather guts, weather doctors, and they come on two or three times during a thirty minute broadcast on a normal day.
