Gotta let people deal with the choices they make.
How dumb is it in this age to trust any street drug?

Buddy and I were in vegas many years ago and we were at a very crowded casino bar and a fairly good looking chick bought us a round of drinks.
We very quickly both knew something was wrong and immediately went to our rooms.
I 100% think we were drugged. I was so fricked up that the room was spinning and I passed out. He says he violently puked for a long while.
Lesson was definitely learned
Wife got drugged at a Christmas party. She was smart enough to barricade herself in the bathroom and call me. I've never seen anything like it, and it stuck around for like 12 hours, we think it was an accident because who drugs people at a non-skeezy company Christmas party?

I couldn’t imagine losing my wife and having to raise our kids by myself. Sadly it happens more times than we realize. I’m sorry yall had to go through that.

No shite. He would have done better with "Beer Goggles" on near closing time in just about any bar in N.O.
That thing is hideous.

What's the scenario where that is an accident?

Isn't that what happened to Len Bias?
That story was they went back to the dorm with teammates around 2 am and did a bunch of coke and Len seizured out. They didn't call the paramedics unitl 6:30 am. Paramedics couldn't restart his heart.
And the dude was failing all of his classes. He prob had a problem before this one time.

So is driving over the speed limit. Do you always drive the speed limit?
One is a civil infraction, the other a felony.

heard a similar story from someone and really wondered, how can this story be true? They must have been able to get into his phone and from there, get to his personal information, banking, investments, etc.
Terrifying really.
Never turn on fingerprint access. Someone can sucker punch you or slip something in your food/drink and get in when you pass out.

I’ve been roofied twice in my life. Confirmed by blood tests.
Yes it literally fricks you up and gives you the most reality bending hang over you’ve ever had until the next evening. Which I guess is more just residual effects of the drug hanging around.
Like your body and brain are broken. Your circuitry is just completely toast.
My eyes wouldn’t align for a few hours after I woke up and then all I could do was lay in bed, vomit, and just exist. It’s very weird. Then was able to finally shuffle downstairs the stairs of my friend’s house for my gf to come pick me up at like 8pm. Was unable to move until then.

Being roofied ia just the half of it. The missing kidney and butthole soreness are the real headaches

I was almost certainly roofied once several years back (there was another time I think it could have happened, but it's entirely possible I was just a drunk retard that particular time). I didn't get a blood test done for confirmation, but I was sharing pitchers with a couple buddies (a husband and wife) that I drank with all the time. We ended up texting each other the next day independently because we all knew something from the night before wasn't right.
One moment, we are on our 2nd or 3rd pitcher...and the next, I wake up in a snow bank with one shoe 7 hours later in a Howard Johnson parking lot. They're nowhere to be found. They apparently drove home, which they didn't remember doing, and found half the shite in their car strung out on the front lawn the next morning from trying to get into the house.
God bless that front desk clerk because, like you said, your brain circuitry is toast...so I couldn't really communicate what I needed or figure out how the room key worked, but he was able to help me get a room and a cab home the next morning. I can only assume someone dropped me off in the hotel parking lot because it was a couple miles away from where we were. Being passed out outside in Wisconsin in January could have ended very, very badly.
Definitely made me leery of drinking in public for a while.
