The fact he put himself in that situation makes me angry. That poor little girl has no parents now. Just a selfish thing for him to do.

One driving, one "distracting" was the setup.

The other had his phone hacked into, and they stole money via venmo and his personal bank account. They even tried to link a separate account to his, giving them access to all of his finances.

I heard a similar story from someone and really wondered, how can this story be true? They must have been able to get into his phone and from there, get to his personal information, banking, investments, etc.

Terrifying really.

Another reason I have no bank, credit card, or financial apps on my phone

It’s tragic for the little girl, but he lost his wife. No telling what his emotional state is. I can’t say I would be doing hookers and blow if I had lost my wife, but I would imagine he’s still not in his ‘right mind’.

Wow. That’s all he could get here? And that’s the criminal justice system. She should probably already be behind bars from her history.

this isn't the full story

One bump of coke by a young healthy individual does not kill.

We talking odds of hitting lottery, not Russian roulette

They pull up and pretend they are your uber driver. If you actually ordered one, most people get in and because they are drunk and not paying attention..

I completely understand but as a grown man and father you have to fight for your daughter. Your sole purpose in life was to provide a stable life for her. Her life is completely altered now. All because he chose hookers and blow to cope. There’s thousands of alternatives to cope that won’t kill you.

So this guy came here to do drugs and hookers at the Super Bowl and got murdered?

Sounds like he got the full New Orleans experience!

So drugs and hookers

As we thought

Not saying he wasn't partaking in the above but there's also a chance he was drugged with the intention of being robbed and she overdid it. Apparently it's becoming more popular. A buddy was recently on a bachelor party and was drugged, followed back to his room, and all his shite cleared out when he was basically stumbling back into the room. This wasn't in NOLA but when the police took his report the next day they said it's happening frequently to tourists that are at bars late night.

Buddy and I were in vegas many years ago and we were at a very crowded casino bar and a fairly good looking chick bought us a round of drinks.

We very quickly both knew something was wrong and immediately went to our rooms.

I 100% think we were drugged. I was so fricked up that the room was spinning and I passed out. He says he violently puked for a long while.

Lesson was definitely learned
