so I get some of their attitude.
Most feel they are the most important thing on the road.
They're even worse on trails.

I bike that path a lot. In katy by mason road behind a subdivision.. the path dead ends a little up past the walker… I am guessing ( but based on first hand experience on that path) the biker blew past the walker from the back going 20 miles an hour and did not slow and say rider passing on the left as he passed the walker. The walker probably gets this a lot thus the pipe and had a plan… the same biker went to the dead end and had to turn around and the walker saw him coming back and decided to have words… not right… but I bike and there is a reason to be courteous when you share the path with walkers and other bikers… announce yourself and slow down… I bet I know what kind of bike the biker was wearing , clothes , and little biker merit badges he had….
I bike also … and on that path .. lots of walkers. Little kids… dogs etc…

It wasn’t quite clear, but do you bike that path?

Buffalo Bayou has them separated and it does very little to help. There still a shite ton of foot traffic on the bike portion even when the pedestrian portion is 6ft away.

What? How else is he supposed to alert a pedestrian he's coming up? Would you fight someone over an "on your left!"?

When I was a kid and rode a bike I didn't ride in pedestrian areas for a reason. There are pedestrians there.
These same bicycle douche canoes that bitch about pedestrians blocking a path are the clowns that ride in the middle of traffic and howl about the car drivers being pissed about them holding up traffic.
"Don't ride on the bike path, there are pedestrians there. But also don't ride on the roads, there are cars there"

Yes, we should just ignore extremely rude people.
Bikers have absolutely no self awareness.

I just go slow through there usually. It's the only way for me to connect to Memorial park without hitting public roads (which is the OTs #1 cyclist trigger). I only do that once a week typically and most days just ride White Oak and try to stay north of Ella where the foot traffic is minimal. Maybe one day the trail north of 43rd will be open again.

My buddies and I started gravel biking the last few years...so much more pleasant to have to deal with minimal vehicles/walkers/etc.

LOLWUT? More braindead posting from Roger.
The trails in Houston are hike and bike and are wide enough to comfortably pass pedestrians / runners.
The general rule is to yell "on your left" so the clueless pedestrian will get out of the way, so you can pass.
Where are we supposed to ride our bikes? We ride in the road and you fat fricks complain. We go to the trails and you fat fricks still complain.

He was riding a bike and wearing a Lance Armstrong starter kit which equals rude - The OT

Some of you fricks can't read.
I said bikers blocking traffic by riding in the traffic lanes.
ie-Blocking just like the walkers they bitch about.
I don't give a damn about a biker riding on the side of the road.

The only thing that rivals the OTs hatred of cyclists is travel ball kids names Braxxton.

And if they're anything like here, bikers think they own it.
On trails they're even worse. I'll slow down and spread the group out so they can have a bunch of people to bitch at.
They're angry little elves if they don't get their way. I'll play that game with them.
