...for not wearing masks as well as avoiding the 6ft rule. Seriously, how can this stand up. Neighbor had a yard crew (3 guys) mowing/edging/weed eating his yard yesterday when a cop pulls up and writes them all tickets with a $500 fine. He was irate when telling me this morning.

Austin’s pussy Mayor made face masks mandatory last week. I really don’t see how they can do this.

Well they can do it because your rights and liberties are worth about as much as the paper they were written on these days.

with emotional legislation led by an emotional public, expect communism

politicians and police get off on these type of power trips

the majority of the OT probably agrees with it, too

A majority was probably fully on board with this a couple weeks ago when they started passing these orders.

Interesting how things changed.

This is the response people demanded of their government.

"some" is enough to terrify me. i'd expect it to be all and for no tickets to be written or anyone to be arrested from this...but these stories are popping up everywhere

Why not just wear the mask and avoid the issue all together? It isn’t that big of an inconvenience. Laws are laws. If you don’t like them, either move or get them changed.

Are you saying there isn't a fine for not wearing a mask in Austin, and that people aren't reporting their neighbors to the police, and that the police wouldn't show up to write a ticket for that fine?
