So she was at the bar having seven waters? The evidence that it was alcohol is that she had it in a bar. You can say there was reasonable doubt that it was alcohol, but there was evidence.

Very important two words in that statement when you are attempting to convict an American citizen of murder.

What about something like a receipt from the bar? Would that be better evidence than she was in a bar with a cup?

Today was a major issue for the Commonwealth.
The judge needs to have a wide sweeping evidentiary hearing including DGM Pietro who downloaded the entire video of when the vehicle was at the PD garage, the Canton Police Chief that turned over the new video on August 2024, and the person that replaced and destroyed the "inverted camera" at the very least.

Also include Colleen Crawford.
And obviously Michael Proctor.

I included her in the post just above mine, not by name but by title.
This is a shite show. And arguing that it's not exculpatory isn't going to get around this.
The fact that the videos were STILL ON AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AFTER THE ORIGINAL TRIAL, and not copied/provided to the defense is a major problem.
The scheme behind the scenes about which videos to turn over to the defense by the chief and the retired investigator is totally improper.
And Proctor is so knee deep in it now that it's difficult to think he wasn't surpressing evidence and very VERY possibly for nefarious reasons related to his involvement with the actual crime he was charged with investigating.

The fact that the guy that probably ripped apart the taillight controlled all of the video evidence is shocking. He was clearly very interested in the videos within days of the incident.
Oh and frick Hank Brennan

I think this whole trial is a sham and all of the people involved suck, but Turtleboy seems like such a loser

The judge is going to allow the defense to call the dog behaviorist to testify in the second trial without a daubert hearing.
I’m done with this judge as well. She is potentially on the take for the commonwealth as well. If she doesn’t at least order an evidentiary hearing about the sally port video she is on the take.

I’m more concerned about this. Everything surrounding the sally port videos pisses me off. I think the defense will destroy this dog bite expert

Alessi will have a field day.

I really like Jackson and think he's a great attorney, but it's clear that he and the judge don't get along at all. Alessi was a great addition.

Tonight:
Monday, March 17: ‘A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read’ on Investigation Discovery
I think I get that channel.

I am surprised how much media she is doing before the 2nd trial. I mean we all knew that she was going to make millions off of these documentaries/docuseries after, but I'm surprised they are already doing them. I wonder how much of this is going towards her legal team's funds.

Judge Bev has always been snarky towards the defense team, not just towards Alan Jackson. I’ve watched every minute of the 1st trial and all of the motions. She responds to them with an attitude and it’s pretty disgusting.
Of all the court cases I have followed over the years, I have never seen one that so much reasonable doubt as Karen’s case. Officer O’ Keefe’s arm is covered with dog bites and the door camera the next morning shows Karen’s right taillight intact as she does a 3 pt turn in her driveway. Freaking solo cups, leaf blowers and stop & shop bags to collect “evidence” and an inverted sallyport video presented by the Commonwealth. Not to mention the ARCCA experts hired by the FBI that said “100% no way Officer O’Keefe was struck by a vehicle.” They built a mini cannon to fire at a Lexus taillight to prove it wouldn’t shatter into 57 pieces like the Commonwealth claims.

I agree with pretty much everything you said but To be fair. That was not why they built the cannon. The cannon was built to attempt and recreate the damage to the taillight from a drinking glass.

That solidified for me that she should not be convicted. The judge has to be cozy with the state.

That’s true, I wasn’t implying otherwise.

The CW motion filed today that was is opposition to ARCCA being allowed to be shown as unbiased towards KR is wild. So many unverified claims some of which kind of seem to come from morons on Twitter.
One was about a picture of one of the ARCCA experts eating lunch with KR’s dad at a “private luncheon”.
