Hopefully the jury sees through this charade of misinformation and makes their votes accordingly.

It's obfuscation all around. "Did I hit him?" somehow becomes "I HIT HIM!"

it actually follows MA law.

Well the law sucks and needs to be revised. lmao.

Laws are not immutable.

if there are lesser included charges (as we have here)

Complete horseshite and should be banned everywhere. The state should not be allowed to overcharge and then get you on some other bullshite.

The info about MA law came from Andrea Burkhart on YouTube.

GOAT. Andrea is awesome and I follow her for trial coverage. Best on YouTube now imo.

I'm not super smart, but I read this and I'm still thoroughly confused. I hope the jury is smarter than I am!

The scary part is, probably half of them are not...

How long did it take the last jury to be hung?

This is taking too long considering the evidence unless the jury is going over a lot of evidence before voting.

They were in deliberation for 5 days last time. Reported hung late on day 4, IIRC, then sent back, and came back on day 5 that no one was budging.

If someone is truly proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt, a jury would not need 20 hours to decide it

No. She was on Defense Diaries yesterday but I doubt she does any "verdict watch" streams until word hits twitter of a verdict.

I think there is a Kohberger one day this week that she will cover.

Looks like we have a jury question. Probably will be about 10 minutes before it's read.

ETA: back quicker than I thought.

What was the question? Or are we allowed to know?

1. What is the time frame for the OUI charge? 12:45 or 5 A.M.?
2. Are videos of Karen's interviews evidence?
3. Does convicting on a sub charge affect the overall charge?

1. What time frame for OUI charge (ie midnight or 5 am)

2. Is her interview video considered evidence

3. Something about a lesser charge … unclear what they are asking here.

Bev is confused by 3, as am I. She needs responses from counsel. Twenty minutes.

The third question tells me there is major confusion on the verdict form and I would hope the foreman would go to the judge and explain their verdict and make sure they have it filled out correctly before turning it in.

There were three questions. These are not verbatim but close enough.

1) What is the timeframe for the OUI lesser included - 12:00 AM or 5:45 AM.
2) Are the Karen Read video clips evidence how should we consider them.
3) If we convict on a sub charge, for example the OUI alone, does it mean we convict of the overall [manslaughter] charge.

Great questions for NG on the three main charges and a guilty on OUI.

I do not think them asking about the interviews is good.

Initially I thought this but she admitted to drinking and driving on the video. Maybe that’s all they are asking.
