Who thinks we'll get a verdict today?
IMO the longer the deliberations go the more likely it is for a hung jury or Karen being found guilty of at least one charge.
So I hope a verdict is reached early this week.

The defense filed a motion to amend the verdict slip.

Seems a little late for that... no?

Kind of leaning this way tbh even though it isn't warranted.
That would be fantastical if a verdict comes in today though. I think it will bode well for her if it does.

I think it will be tomorrow, at the earliest, before we get a verdict.

not sure about the timing but Aunt Bev has denied the motion.

These trials have ages her quite a bit. But IWSHI.

The second page of that verdict form, alone, could cause jurors to take more time than necessary.

What exactly did they prove to show she was involved?
He didn't say that they proved anything. he said they provided some evidence that could make someone believe that she was involved...

Anyone know what the deal with the motion to amend the verdict slip (which was denied) is all about?

it is in regards to the manslaughter charge. The slip list the main charge and all the lesser included charges. The slip shows a "Not Guilty" checkbox at the top and a "Guilty" checkbox by each charge. The defense wants to amend the slip to show a "Not Guilty" and a "Guilty" checkbox for each charge, but the judge refuses to change the jury slip.
This was also a point of contention during the first trial and Bev refused to do anything about it in that trial as well.
According to the jury members that have spoken since trial 1 the manslaughter charge was the charge that they were hung on for what its worth.

THanks for the explanation. Is the defense thinking the "Guilty" box next to each charge by itself would favor the prosecution is why?

These trials really reiterate the phrase "if you're guilty you need a lawyer, if you're innocent you really need a few good ones"

Well, when you're battling the judge, the cops and their cop friends, a dirty special prosecutor - that makes sense.

They view the jury slip as confusing because there isn't a way for them to show they find Karen "Not Guilty" of the main charge then move to the lesser included charges.

Do you believe it was purposeful?

It isn't nefarious IMO, but its another example of Bev being Bev. She is the all knowing judge, and she doesn't want input especially from Alan Jackson.
