My freshman year if college before iMessage I had 14500 as a record. I also had a long distance relationship. It could still be close if you count group messaging.

So getting buddies together for Mardi Gras would be easier done via conference call? Or Group Texts?
Texting has a value that's different and often more efficient than a phone call. But when driving or have more than a few sentences to talk about, I admit to getting flustered and calling the GF because that woman can text 80wpm easily.

Eta. On topic. About 3-5k

Probably 180-240. 2-3 per day to coworkers, and about 4-6 per day to the wife. It's a lot easier to send a "how's your day going" or "do you want me to pick up dinner/groceries" on the way home from work to the wife, than calling her. Especially because she can text me back a grocery list and I won't forget it.

A month when I am not? 2-500

I would say I easily do over 1000. It only takes an average of 33 a day to hit that and I know for a fact the wife and I text each other way more than that per day. Kid stuff, dinner questions, crap her mom said or is doing, crap she is doing.

It's our companies primary form of communication. I send over 5000 a month, and I'm 46.
