K-Mart was my first real job in high school.
Same here. Worked in the garden shop one summer. Baws would buy 100 bags of top soil or mulch and I would load it into their trucks. Even at 16 I knew they were dumbasses and could go to the local landscape place and get a couple of scoops for half the price.

One in Metairie is closing soon and currently has a liquidation sale going on.
The one closer to Kenner might be done. I was there Saturday night and there was a sign that they were only open one more day (Sunday). Maybe they extended that.
There wasn't much left, except for some unboxed items, some school uniforms, some unknown cleaning supplies, and about 78,000 pairs of women's underwear. Seriously. My wife (no pics) got 20 pairs of panties for, with tax, $10.45.
We also passed by the one between Causeway and Bonnabel, it had the "store closing" banner up but we did not stop. I think that liquidation began just a few days ago. Same with the Sears at Clearview - the closing sign is now up.

None left in BR proper. Closest one a few years back was in Gonzales but I think that closed in the last wave or two of shutdowns.

I can remember when they had those food courts with a couple different restaurants. That was cool. Usually a Little Caesars, deli, and seems like something else but can’t remember what
