Every time we went in AZ it was crowded, but efficient.

I strongly recommend renting cars through Costco. It has saved my arse many times. Between rental cars, tires, and gas (especially is Hawaii), I have saved a ton at Costco. Savings then quickly spent on cool, good quality camping equipment and other impulse purchases 
Still love Costco though. I actually use those impulse buys so I don’t feel bad about it.

Living da dream here in Florida. Costco on one side and Buckee's on the other but hold on we have a Bass pro shop on the same road .2 miles down. fricking living son

Same. Bypass all lines, and they just upgraded it, and you don't even have to stop at all. Wish they had that for walmart.

You must live in the ghetto Costco. Ours has handhelds and scan them right in the buggy. The check out is fast everytime I go. I am very impressed with the speed of the check out at our Costco

Spend enough money at Sam’s every year that it covers my membership feee. It’s my go to store. Have a membership at both but only use Costco when I go to BR//NOLA/Hawaii. With gas prices in Hawaii I basically break even with the membership fee

Some of y’all must live near some really shitty Costcos.
Ours is great. Busy but great. We get up early and go on Saturdays shortly after they open before it gets too nuts. And the quality of product is significantly better than Sam’s here. Especially the bakery and meat selection.
Only thing Sam’s has on them is the checkout as you go deal.
