I would have got the Kia carnival. And you would have saved 10 grand

47.5k was best deal, and waiting time was 4 months
LX with the seat package was 45.5k

You joke but the sellers of the house I just closed on were married lesbians with 3 kids lmao

When you have 3+ kids and two are still in car seats, there isn't a better vehicle than the Odyssey with the sliding captain's chairs.

Any questions for those in the market?
That's a bad MFer. I am just about out of the market for hauling kids anywhere but I'd still drive that ride around town.
I had a Sequoia years ago. But 4 kids and a vasectomy later, you don't give a frick what other people think. That's a functional and sweet piece of machinery.

We have been in the market as well. Curious as to how you were able to test drive one when the '23 models have yet to be built per Honda corp office?

I don’t care what anybody says… minivans are comfortable and roomy.

I almost pulled the trigger on the sienna. Side to side slide seating of the honda won us over
We thought we would like that, but honestly, it hasn't been a feature that has been important. We will test drive both, and I honestly haven't compared in a while, but a few things that have stood out to us over time.
-the Odyssey is noticeably louder, it can wear on you on long trips
-if you have the 8th seat option, the Toyota has dedicated storage (or did) in the rear. The Honda seat is huge and requires you to physically store it somewhere else. That being the case, we rarely use it, preferring to have the pathway to the back seat.
-steering on the sienna was more responsive
-giddyup and go on the sienna was far better
-mpg in the sienna is better
We found the vacuum option is honestly a huge waste of space. We've used it a few times total, as a novelty. I honestly don't think we've even emptied it.
Anyway, we'll compare them again and see what happens. Either would be okay, the wife isn't interested in a big SUV right now.

We bought a Sienna last year. The three main reasons we didn’t go with the Odyssey:
1. The Sienna has the Super Long Slide seats in the second row. You can actually get a foot rest when you get the platinum package but we just place an ottoman in front of the seat for long car rides so our kids can stretch out. This makes it so everyone has plenty of space. You don’t realize it until you see how much space there is.
2. Gas mileage…you can’t beat it at all
3. We just liked the looks of the new siennas a whole lot better than the odyssey.
I was some one who never thought I would own a minivan and wanted the SUV but if you start to compare prices, features and space the van wins hands down every time.

No changes for the 2023 besides they added a sport model

Our option is an ugly mini van, or pay 20k more for something that looks better but also slightly less convenient Two people buy the large SUV’s for their wives 1. People that have a lot of money and it’s no issue at all 2. People that absolutely have very fragile egos
Preach. And the better aesthetics argument for an SUV is weak. Congrats, your SUV is indistinguishable from every other white, gray, dark colored SUV on the road. Car aesthetics in the US long gave way to mandatory safety features and common platforms.

How many does it seat - legally with a seat belt?
