I legitimately have no idea what the person that delivers my mail even looks like. I'd rather they just throw the junk in the garbage to be honest.

We have three different mail carriers. It must be some type of rotation schedule because one comes sometime before 4PM, one comes around 5PM and the other closer to 7. There have been times he has brought mail as late as between 8:30 - 9PM.
There was a long time mailman. This black dude who knew everyone. Every day he would park, walk the neighborhood in less than 30 mins. If it was storming outside, he would wait in his mail jeep. One time I saw him, half way through his route a thunderstorm popped up. You know, where it rains hard for 5 mins then it clears back up. He didn't miss a beat.
He told us 3 months before retiring that he was retiring and that the postal service was making a lot of changes so he had no idea who would take his place and said that it could be several different people because.. as he said.. This was 15-18 years ago "these young people today don't know what the word work means". And if he was talking specifically about the people who would replace him... He was correct.

We have about half dozen different folks delivering our mail.

They are paid, and have very good pensions and benefits to deliver mail and packages
They do a horrendous job and want to be tipped for doing their job, at much higher than scale wage? They also clock milk the frick out of those federal wages.
And they want to be tipped, lol

I couldn't tell you what our mail carrier(s) look like. I'm rarely around when mail gets delivered. Even then its 95% useless junk.

After reading another person's post, take pics and send to her boss. Illegal is illegal.

I think my mailman is Jahovas Whitness, so he doesn’t do that shite…

What does he do to give you that impression? Knock on your door?

Yep. She can legit be fired for this. Definitely cannot solicit and, if a gift is received, cannot exceed $20 in value.

People that get paid a normal regular wage for the job they’re doing can go frick themselves with asking for a tip. I hate that shite so much.

We give him a case of Gatorade, and he gave us a “thank you/New years card fro his family.
Know anyone who gives out Happy New years cards?

I get a lot of stuff shipped to the office, and our postal carrier, UPS driver, and Fed driver all do great jobs. I give each of them a Christmas gift. They never solicit anything, but they sure appreciate the gift.
I would not give anything if they weren't long-term employees who give us excellent service year round.

I wouldn’t snitch on them, but I wouldn't acknowledge that I got it either.

It's against the law for them to get cash...or anything in excess of 20.00 on value.
