That will flavor it in a disgusting way, no matter how many times you wash it out before hand

Do they still play Sweet Home Alabama every 15 minutes?

Was this the Cruise that Roman Harper was talking about on the radio recently (basically an Alabama Legends type cruse—see link)?

None. CBP guy asked to see passports and said have a safe trip home. This was the fastest I've ever made it through. 15 minutes from walking off the ship and I was in the car headed home.

Didn't hear it one to me. Did get a few Roll Tides when wearing g an LSU T shirt around the pool deck. Nothing obnoxious.

So the drink package is $600 per person for 15 per day for five days? That's $8 per drink if so. It better not be Montezuma Rum and Popov Vodka.

Also a carnival cruiser here.
What ports did you visit? Did you get off the ship, etc.

Cruises get a lot of flack here, especially Carnival, but I love it. It's not a 5 star vacation/dining experience. That much is true. I would not pick it for a super special honeymoon trip, as it would likely be a major letdown for that type of vibe.
But if you want a simple family vacation that the kids a and adults can enjoy. It's not that bad. If you like visiting new places and to get a trip to visit 3 or 4 new islands in a week's time, then it makes sense.
I'm not a huge drinker, so I would never get the package. But there are some really good drinks on board. I probably drink more on a cruise in 4-5 days then I will in 2-3 months.
The food isn't all that, but there are some decent options on board. But as I said, one of my main goals is to get off the ship and taste the food there. You can definitely find great options on the islands.
There are definitely many fat people on board. But on any cruise I've seen plenty of fine women in their bikinis. So I think that balances out.

$50 per person per day. But the kicker is that each member in the room has to purchase it. I'm going on a 5 day. Tips are not included so it comes out to about $63/day

They say everyone has to purchase it, but my wife doesn't drink. I called and they said she could just purchase the refreshment package.

It runs $600 for a 5 day for 2 people and I did not see swill liquor. Grey Goose, Skyy, Patron, Flo De Canna 18, Santa Teresa, etc. Tropical drinks are $10. Beers $6.50 for domestic and $6.95 for Heineken, Dos Xx, etc. The drink package includes unlimited coffees, soda, milk shakes, and sports drinks.

Progress & Cozumel. We had a great time at both ports. Progresso is more primitive and had better deals for messican crap. We shopped the markets and had a palapa on the beach with a server bringing food and buckets of beer at reasonable prices. We went to the Money Bar in Cozumel for snorkeling most of the day and then went to the other side of the island to explore. Bring Cheerios when you go snorkeling!

I too like them. I like being able to see a couple different places, I love being on the water and the peace and quiet of sitting on my balcony late at night in the middle of the ocean. The entertainment isn't terrible, lots of places on board to explore, a casino, and if you want to you can always find a quiet place on board away from the masses.

Will Port of Mobile ever get at least a mid level decent cruise ship?
