I can smell the tums/heartburn and hear the friction from fat thighs rubbing together from your pictures.

Chick at the bar has a Miranda Lambert vibe

When the neon color t-shirts appear you know you are among the classiest.

yep.. i go through my 15 and half of my wife's 15 every day on the boat.
I think I hit 17 in 5 hours at Sanchos. But it was hot and we were in the pool and playing beach volleyball and in the gulf etc.
I could never get above 12-13 on a sea day on board. And even that that, I felt like I was bouncing between peeing and siting at the bar all day.

Is the food any good? Be honest.

It wasn't bad and it's not all buffets either. We only did that only once for lunch and breakfast before leaving the ship in Mexico . We had a sea day brunch with steak and eggs that was really good. The dining room put out some unique food like braised rabbit and ox tongue. The appetizers were all pretty good. The deli put out good sandwiches like cubans, buffalo chicken, and the usual stuff. Guy's burgers and the Blue Iguana were also really good. Here is a sample menu we had one night

Any rooms have balconies? What was the evening entertainment?

This ship was old and only had a few balconies. see below. I would not pay for it. It looked like the balconies were very small and obstructed by lifeboats. There is only one level with balconies. I have cruised with balcony rooms before and loved it but that was on a newer ships and 7 days from San Juan and Miami.

I’m going on a cruise in May. I’m terrified it’s going to be even worse than normal since it’s a couple of months after a lot of people get their tax refunds.

“What do you want to know?”
How was the floating buffet?

Why would you go on Carnival in the first place?

Breakfast buffet and made to order omlets were good. Lunch had many decent selections. Can't answer about the evening spread.

Location (went with some people that live in AL) & price (cheap Mardi Gras getaway and the captain was the designated driver)

Just pack some bourbon in an emptied Listerine bottle.
That will flavor it in a disgusting way, no matter how many times you wash it out before hand. Just get a couple of those bogus sunscreen bottles.
ETA: The big arse contact solution bottles also work really well for hiding booze.

And if you can't decide which app or entree you want, just get both. I've done that before

Rum runners work as do empty rubbing alcohol bottles. They dont worry about water bottles after the first port

I got busted coming back onto the ship in Mexico. I bought a water bottle and swapped the water out for a liter of vodka. The guy at the ramp said "shake that"...and then he said "sorry, you can't bring that on"

Your OP reads you had a lot of beer.
What kind of beer did you have, and how many per day? Was the ?? beer included in your fare?

You are bad luck.
I've never missed.
