Remember when the board thought bitcoin wasn't going to be worth anything?

Look it up yourself. Those unwilling to understand, won't.

Your car isnt on a blockchain either so some teenager can steal it from you.

Cool pic OP. I just took a screen capture and saved a very similar work of art like this for myself. It isn’t the same as yours though, as it’s not tied to an arbitrary data point on a blockchain, so you can be sure that all the real value of your picture was saved.

We had teams trying to cash in on the early success of some of the teams and making the mint price upwards of 10 Sol. Creator then said it was a joke and was going to make it 0.1 Sol. Everyone said piss off

Bold Badgers launched with possibly the worst website ever in regards to connecting your wallet. They were charging a premium 5 Sol and are now selling at less than half the mint. They have no volume and the nft community abandoned them.

Plenty of others were just sketchy with how they had requirements to buy their nfts by holding other nfts and whatnot.

Its scam city with most of the projects

very few actually demand value.

Why do those demand value? What about them makes them worth more money?

How do you know this? These are new so there is not much history and hot new NFTs will continue to launch. Essentially an infinite supply.

I could see how a jpeg of a monkey has value

Similar to a corvette serial number 1

Both are just ideas

And the vette is a fricking work of art itself. I doubt any NFT owner has slayed some poon because he had an 8 bit picture of a monkey on his phone.

I can make scribbles on a piece of paper and call it number 1 of 10 but no one is gonna be breaking my door down to give me money for it.

Because people pay for them. Why does a painting demand value? Lets not talk about a Monet but art from current artists.

Team, community, being based on a valuable blockchain. I use nfts to build my Sol amount. Once you get involved in a legit project, it can be addictive.

Well I dont. No one does. Its a niche space in crypto and crypto isnt going anywhere.

Saying this again. Its been addressed

You sound like the guy I talked to about 3Com back in 1999 - but hey, it's your money. Back then it was call options that everyone was buying - how'd that work out?

NFT’s are unique and allow you unique ownership of the use of it.
Eh, not exactly. For the most part, owning an NFT of e.g. a photo or some piece of digital 'artwork' does not give you ownership of the copyright to it, or the right to license it for use in a used car dealer advertisement or whatever.

Personally I tend to see NFTs as something like membership cards in the 'there's a sucker born every minute club'.
