How much can you sell yours for?

So you’ll steal someone’s expensive NFT and that’s ok? Why.. because it’s easy? If they leave their keys in the car and you steal it, that’s ok too right? Because it’s just as easy. Good luck putting their car in your driveway.

Because people pay for them. Why does a painting demand value? Lets not talk about a Monet but art from current artists.
Because it has the element of scarcity, it requires time and talent to create. As opposed to some ex salesman creating a program that automatically creates 10,000 variations of a silly caricature. Not to mention, regular art you can display on a wall to spruce up your place. I'd also wager most people buy art they simply like, with no expectation of appreciation or ever selling.
I may be wrong but I just don't see how NFTs can continue to appreciate with millions of them constantly being created.

Does it?
This sold for 28 million.

So now digital art is not art and doesnt take talent? Graphic designers are not artists I guess.
Some of the nft art is garbage but some does actually look very good.

Not even going to address this again

I won't even try to explain that.

I wouldn't pay 28 million for that and I also wouldn't pay $10 for an NFT

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that 20 years from now NFTs will not be a valuable commodity.
Enjoy swapping and selling this shite now, fellas, but one day the tower of cards will fall.

NFT's are just a means to launder money like Hunter Biden's "art".

I don’t want to sell mine. It’s obviously a priceless work of art. It has value that surpasses mere money.

FYI I will never buy art, real or nft. But I do understand the investment aspect of original art.
The difference is that a print is not the same as an original painting. A digital copy is the EXACT same as the original.

That is an old price, it sold for over $40 million more recently. It is a Barnett "zip". I actually like abstract expressionism but agree color field work doesn't exactly take a lot of talent to paint but I suppose those in the art world would say the talent is in knowing what to paint. Highly skilled technical painters are a dime a dozen and most of them can create photorealistic paintings. Outside of laundering which is a big part of the fine art world today it still comes down to emotions and how a work draws them out. That is the genius in even "simple" color field work.

It is now my FB profile pic, so I own it as well.

An ownership interest of an individual digital item that can be verified as uniquely yours and not a copy. If I borrowed $20 bucks from you, you would not care if I paid you back with a $10 and two $5’s. That’s a fungible transaction. If I borrowed your car, I can’t you bring you back a similar car. That’s a non-fungible transaction. It’s unique. NFT’s are unique and allow you unique ownership of the use of it. See?

This is all starting to sound like the junk wax era of baseball cards. A lot of people are going to waste a lot of money.
Just don't be the one caught holding the bag. Unrelated, I have some really nice tulip bulbs to unload if anyone is looking to invest.

Except I could sell that today for a nice amount of money. You cant. thats the point
What’s a nice amount? A nice amount to you may not be a nice amount to me.

Pay someone on Fiverr $100 to design art for NFT. Sell on marketplace...profit?
Posted on 2/2/22 at 8:38 am to Fusaichi Pegasus
Idk I think I’d just rather have the artist paint me something I could hang at home, if I was into that kind of art.

Probably 15-25k within a few hours
