Public transport is mostly for poors.
When I lived in NYC, I only took the subway to work. I got to read, listen to music, etc. without having to worry about anything. The station was 1 block from my apartment and then I had a 2 block walk to my office. Why would I do anything else?
Park on the street in NYC and your car is quickly shite from people hitting it. Pay to park in a garage and spend an absurd amount of money.

Good public transportation to work is MUCH better than driving.
Fixed. Baton Rouge public buses are purely for the poors.

I've been using public transit for my work commute the last few years as well, and it's far and away better than having to drive. I walk one block from my house, get on the train, and walk one more block to my office. It takes me about 25 minutes door to door, and I usually spend that time answering work e-mails or screwing around on here.
Sure it has it's issues, but no commute is perfect unless you can walk to work.
My biggest pet peeve on the train: people who listen to music on their phone through the speakers. No one wants to hear your shitty taste in music. But I almost always have headphones in listening to my own music or podcasts, so it's not that big of an issue.

Train, SF bay area.
Ah yes, you were the one who was asking people who live in Louisiana and Texas how to approach buying a house in SF.

How far is your commute from your place in The Castro?

Are you the one that lives in the Bay Area and complains about prices being high? If so I recall you saying you had a 2017 year model F150 or Chevy (can't remember off top of my head.) Why have a brand new truck and use public transport?

Bay area population alone is about twice that of the entire state of Louisiana. What works great in a densily and heavily populated area may work the same in other places.

I know you're an aggie, but surely you can stop fellating other men long enough to drive to work like an adult.

SF/ NYC/ Chicago confirmed poor
The way the middle class is fleeing those 3 specific places, that is not far off. SF and NYC for sure anyway.

I'm waiting for them to install transporter portals.

Never been to NOLA I see. You know there's even a movie about New Orleans' public transport
Is the movie called Broken Down or Never on Time?
My favorite is when you wait for a streetcar for over an hour, then one comes and is full, followed by another empty one in 3 minutes. Followed by the next one in an hour and fifteen. repeat cycle.
Buses in NOLA?

I live about a mile from the front of my neighborhood and about 2-3 miles from the closest bus stop. So I'm going to walk 2-3 miles in a slacks and a button up in 97 degree South Louisiana summers? Not to mention that it pours down rain 3-4 days per week during the summer also. No thanks, I'll drive.
