Jussie Smollett Returns To Court In Chicago On Renewed Charges Of Lying To Police

In case you were living under a rock, Jussie Smollett is an obscure progressive actor that paid two friends to pour bleach on him and tie rope around his neck while he was walking to Subway at 2AM in Chicago. It was about 10 degrees outside at the time.
He told police that two white men with "Make America Great Again" hats targeted him because of his celebrity and race.
He's very progressive, and wants you to respect "his truth" - which is that two white Trump supporters that happened to be carrying rope and bleach attacked him at 2AM in Chicago.
The DA in Chicago suspiciously dropped all charges, which infuriated Chicago Police Department and then mayor Rahm Emanuel. A special prosecutor was appointed and Smollett might actually have to pay for what he did.

Former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett returned to court in Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday, on renewed charges that he lied to Chicago police about an alleged racist and homophobic attack Smollett said happened outside of his apartment back in January of 2019.
Smollett assailed the process on his way into a Chicago courtroom, maintaining his innocence and calling the morning’s proceedings — where a judge will hear arguments over a potential conflict of interest with Smollett’s attorney — a “dog and pony show.”
“Smollett told Fox News that he is innocent while entering the court, referring to the proceedings he was about to participate in as a ‘dog and pony show,'” the network reported on Wednesday.
Smollett is facing six counts of “felony misconduct” for allegedly lying to Chicago police in two interviews conducted after Smollett reported being the victim of a racist and homophobic early morning attack outside of his Chicago apartment in the city’s tony Streeterville neighborhood.

Don't forget that it was also one of the coldest nights of that winter with near-zero temps, sub-zero wind chills and snowing.
I know everyone loves to roam around large, dangerous cities after midnight in those kinds of conditions. It's one of my favorite times to go hunting gay D-list celebs as a MAGA supporter.

I lived in that neighborhood at the time and worked very late hours. But I don't carry rope with me.

I've always thought that Obama called in a favor to his buddies in Chicago.
Smollett should have gotten 25 years. Send a message that this kind of shite has to stop.
