SR came up at my work the other day and about half the guys hadn’t seen it or heard of it. Mostly in their late 20s-30s

I would guess Jurassic Park by a healthy margin.
Maybe a hot take, Shawshank is an incredible movie but its a bit overrated. It certainly shouldn't be the top rated movie on IMDB.

Seen it about a dozen times and could watch it again easily.
I saw JP when it first came out. I mean, I didn't hate it, but never really felt compelled to watch it again or any of the sequels.

I've never watched JP. Watched SR 50 times

Salvation lies within.

JP but I think most people of adult age have seen both.

Get busy living or get busy dying.
SR is one of my all-time favorite movies, one of the few movies I'll stop and watch if I come across it.

If it's all age groups it is definitely Jurassic Park..
Booomer, X & the oldest Millennials more than likely both..

That should be against the law and have you put in prison.

My son had some friends over a few years ago and I called it up to stream. I told them no phones. They were around 15-16 at the time.
That ending got em. It's the greatest "stick it to the man" story ever told.

Not to be rude but this maybe the worst question ever
JP did over 1 billion at the box office
Shawshank did 73 million
Shawshank is also rated R which makes it extremely difficult to ever get there compared to non R blockbusters
Exactly. Any other answer is operating on some fallacy.

Shawshank Redemption used to come on like every day on TBS for a while; meanwhile, I dont think I have ever seen Jurassic Park on cable.
I have definitely seen Jurassic Park on TV. Especially the original with the kids.

If you stopped a random person on the street and asked them, which movie do you think they’d be more likely to have seen: Jurassic Park or The Shawshank Redemption?
