Thats pretty much all I get in the mail anymore. I receive no paper copies of any bills, and most of my correspondence is through email.

You can stop junk mail by either contacting the company that sends it or use this site: LINK

The credit card and loan offers are what drives me insane. With all the identity theft and fraud that happens, I shred those. Especially the loan companies that print up a check with your name on it and all you have to do is cash it to acknowledge your agreement to the terms of the loan.

USPS gets paid by the sender of that stuff to deliver it, just like you pay them to deliver a letter. Without that volume of mail usps would be worse off than it already is.

Here's the FTC website on ways to reduce unsolicited calls, mail, etc. I actually have had decent success with getting on the opt-out list. It does not eliminate junk mail, but mine was significantly reduced after I signed up for the list. Kind of like the do not call list. Some people are still going to call you, but it will cut at least some of it out and it's not hard to do.

Well, they would go out of business (for reals) if they didn't have all of that junk mail to bring to you.

What in the hell do you have against Capitalism? Do you know how many jobs are created by "junk" mail? Start with the paper industry, then print companies, transportation companies, mail delivery, then garbage pickup. Your part in keeping America humming is to keep the mail you want, buy stuff, and trash the rest. It isn't that hard to participate!

You can opt out of all those flyers and they bullshite, there's a website or phone number on the main flyer your address is on.

All that shite use to drive me nuts too, I started opting out and canceling shite and now all I'm left getting is bills and 10,000 catalogs from all the shite my wife orders stuff from.

Exactly how do you pay for this? The USPS has not directly received taxpayer-dollars since the early 1980s with the exception of subsidies for costs associated with the disabled and overseas voters.
