Does Boeing supply the pilots as well now?

To be fair the public will blame the plane rather than the pilots....it's like the gun violence debate.

In that video it looks like the flaps were not deployed. Maybe a stall on takeoff because of no flaps?

I thought it was impossible for new planes to take off without their flaps extended. Or at least if they tried alarms and shite would’ve been going off.

Other information says it was five minutes after takeoff. Every flight I’ve ever been on has the flaps retracted well before that time.

No way it was in the air for 5 minutes. You can see it barely got off the airport grounds.

Damn. That's a hell of a fireball. A fully fueled international flight crashing into an extremely dense area is nightmare stuff.

Cellphone mics are shite, but it doesn't sound like the engines were at full power. I live in a takeoff path and have a 787 come over most evenings, and you know when its coming.

Not a good look for Boeing
Let’s reserve judgment until the more probable “Third World doing Third World-y things” scenario is investigated.

The betting odds at my local house are better for that being the primary factor than Boeing being the cause.

The landing gear was still down and the plane wasn't that high off the ground.

While I agree with you what the smooth brains who down voted my 'gun violence' statement is true. People will see BOEING and it will drive opinions of the company (now granted it's warranted) even further south.

I remember last year, India had a plane crash that was descending and it too was caught on film from inside the plane and outside.

Both videos are on Reddit. Not graphic just sad.

At minimum takeoff speed the plane would have travelled a minimum of 13.3 miles from wheels up before it crashed. (If bird was airborne for five mins)

How far was the doctors building?

I don't disagree, I'm just saying that's what other information said. So maybe they were wrong. I guess being in the air for 30 seconds is still "being airborne for less than five minutes".

This will likely be an Air India issue. The 787 has been great.
