This entire case is fricked, and the way the judge behaved with that jury is beyond the pale. With that said, Emily is rock fricking solid, so I have no doubt that’s what she was told. Beyond that, it’s absolutely true that polling slips aren’t filled out as a matter of course. Jurors take their vote in the jury room and the foreman signs the form. Jurors are only polled if requested by either side, and there’s no information in that article saying that they were, which is very odd. Whether they were or were not polled should be a matter of record.

Yes there is. There is the transcript of it. The defense requested it
They did the slips, found not guilty, but then she talked to them in private, and they found guilty, and the slips disappeared. But the jury was back in court for the second verdict and read it themselves, and stated it was unanimous. I can't make sense of it. What on earth did she say to them to get them to go along with it?
