Gotta admit I'm confused. Always poured it the slow way so I could get a whole beer in the glass in short order. Been on the sour mash last 20 years so I guess it's a moot point but I will say, wtf happens to that 1/4 beer that's left pouring JTs way? I guess if I owned a bar I wouldn't ask such silly questions.

He poured it a bit idiotically. With that said, if you pour a beer correctly and still have beer in the bottle, it means you need a bigger glass.

It costs me nothing to know the "correct" way, and it takes less time to pour it correctly than it does to slowly pour the entire time. I'm not sure why you're white knighting so hard over this

Fair enough. Looks like JT needed a bigger glass.

You may be one of the shittiest people I've ever met virtually. F off back to your Pine Sol IPA, and leave the adults in the conversation. I can do Smithwick's no issue, but you're probably the person that goes to ROI and orders a black and tan, and doesn't understand why most of the people in the room want to bash your brains in.

Talking beer with these homos?
They think fruity flavored beverages are beer.

So…if I drink it out straight from the bottle do I need to vigorously pour it in my mouth to release the gases and then swallow?
Posted on 11/22/22 at 6:35 pm to JAXTiger16
The gasses will then release in your gut so no..you will just end up drinking less beer and end up feeling more full

This is well known in Europe. Taffer ain't saying anything new

Someone hasn't stuffed a tapper handle up Taffer's arse yet?

CO2 releases aromas in the beer. Most of what you taste is direct correlation to what you smell. It has nothing to do with making you feel less bloated. Also pouring that vigorous blows all CO2 out of suspension of the beer, causing it to go flat quicker.

Long necks or it ain't a beer.

Let me guess, you're a Cicerone?
You are completely right that smell is a massive input to taste.

Guinness is magic.
I ordered one when we were in London for the packer game because I was told it tastes different over there. And London was as close to Ireland as I was gonna get. Within two minutes of ordering it, some Irish guy goes “Don’t ever let anyone in Ireland see you drinking Guinness out of a plastic glass”. Welp

I used to know a female bartender who blew him.

I think even a guy from Leeds would glass you for such an infraction. When you go back, spend two hours in Dublin at the Post Office and the Guinness brewery, and GTFO and go to the rest of Ireland. I won't spoil the surprise that you'll realize when you get to the top of the brewery, but it just makes the Irish beer love even deeper.
And hit some of the smaller distillery museums while you're there. Tullamore "forced" me to drink a shot before I left for Dublin (at 1030 AM). Fabulous people. The drunker the both of you get, the easier it is to understand each other.

Yeah but the Guinness Shits are a real thing and don’t dispel the OP
