The guy who is in charge of the Board of Contractors is a felon who went to jail for racketeering

what the frick difference does that make? Burglaries occur everywhere else too. Doesn't mean I'm ok with being robbed.

Holy shite.
You can make this stuff up.

Why was Larry Bankston not disbarred for a conviction of felony racketeering?
Posted on 3/28/17 at 10:10 am to TheCaterpillar
JBE is an absolute hack who is well on his way to being a one term governor.

Yup. There was a thread earlier this week, so this must be a spin-off.
Original winner bid like $65MM
2nd place bid something like $85MM
Bankston's son's boss's firm bid $150MM
Bankston decided that the companies in charge of managing the money needed both commercial and residential contractors licenses

I need more information.
Is this factual?
It seems to me that this is a non-story. The son works for a completely different subsidiary of the parent company.

That's how our state govt has operated since April 30, 1812. Unfortunately, regardless of who we elect, I don't foresee any changes.

He was disbarred, but the LA Supreme Court decided to reverse that decision right before Bankston wanted to get back into politics

I thought at first, from this thread, his son won the contract. It appears he did not reward his son.
Still, ridiculous a felon convicted of bribery and racketeering is the LEGAL COUNSEL to this shite.

100% chance that contractor ends up with the winning bid.
100% chance that former state senator's son gets elected to office in LA.
100% chance someone in LA office goes to jail.

The son is a GM of a company owned by the two guys who own the third place company. I'd say that's a problem
