John George’s has destroyed Nola.com

Clicked on an article about the new locker room on Nola.com and was forced to answer questions geared toward subscribing. Nola.com has, in two weeks, gone from a terrific site where one can easily comment in anonymity to an unreadable mess. The pages jump up and down while one attempts to read with pop up ads and various ridiculousness. With George’s in control of the advocate, the picayune, and gambit one is forced to get all information now from tigerdroppings. I will spread the word.

The content destroyed NOLA.com....not a survey.

That site went to garbage years ago.

Quit frequenting Nola.com when their resident racist (Jarvis) kept getting his shite published.

If you want to see how the ownership change has altered the political slant, check out the letters that are published every day.

So, were you let go immediately from the picayune or did you get the 60 days after the buyout they promised?

News flash: print media is dead.
I only go there for Ian mcnulty and crime reports.
I can get all my other news here.

Print media is killing itself across the nation. As is all other forms of MSM.

Jarvis has decamped for Cleveland. I can't say I'll miss him.

Once he did the same thing with Advocate, the only option was to eliminate the competitor NOLA

It's total shite. Damn shame. Georges is such a hack

I don't know about NOLA.com, but Mr. Video Poker sure ruined the Advocate. Their editorial page is insufferable, and Stephanie Grace must moonlight for the Louisiana Democratic Party. I really miss the Manships running that paper.

All newspaper or local news channel websites are garbage. Immediately after entering, you're bombarded with 30 different pop ups, as soon as you scroll, 4 different things load up and send you right back to the top, embedded video that sends you back to 2005 ebaums world technology, paywalls, etc etc. It's the fricking worst.

The only newspaper worth a damn in the US these days is the Wall Street Journal. They're basically the only hold out from click-bait journalism and still write real stories.
Even my phone alerts from them accurately describe the situation.
