Schools are opening, though. The way they are opening is up to each district.
2 days a week in my little area of rural Louisiana where a lot of families don’t have internet access outside of a phone. I have a feeling distance learning will be 3 days worth of homework. Chrome books are good but without an internet connection it’s nothing more than digital homework to be turned in when the student returns to school.

Haven't bars been closed?

I’m pretty sure but casinos are open. Money talks and bullshite walks.

And both are proven by taking a look at JBE.
Money does what it wants and that is a walking sack of bullshite right there.

Do we get to vote on this or is it just he says so thus that’s how it is.

Now, how will he justify permitting LSU, Southern and New Orleans filling up their stadiums a little over a month from today?
They won’t be playing at all let alone playing in front of fans. Anyone who thinks they will is delusional.

That's the political way...accuse the other guy of doing what you infact are doing yourself

Contact your state representatives and ask they do their job

We have seen a few good days of news, but one or two days is not a trend. The good times WILL roll again, but we have to wear our masks, wash our hands, and wave at our neighbors from six feet away.
Am I the the only only that is infuriated reading this?
I can’t stand when people tell me what I “need” to do. It drives me fricking crazy. Even my wife and parents don’t tell me that I “need” to do something

On one hand he'll listen to the White House when they say to close bars but he wont listen when the White House says to open schools..and has the fricking nerve to say that people are taking a partisan position.
If Bernie Sanders thinks that a 75% marginal income tax rate is too high I will quote him, as evidence of that. This is because we all know Bernie likes high taxes. If BERNIE thinks it’s too high THAT’s news! However, if Bernie thinks a top rate of 30% is too low, I’m not that interested. Does this make sense to you?
It’s not hypocrisy to point out that something is too fanatical even for a fanatic, while ignoring the fanatic that something is not fanatical enough. Trump is a well known fanatic about reopening. If his administration is saying to keep something closed that means it’s near unanimous.

I have to be honest, based on your posts I’m not sure if there’s ever a moment when you’re not infuriated about something.
I know 2020 sucks man, but take a breath.

We all do buddy. Hell sometimes I like to push your buttons just because I’m bored and I know you’ll take the bait. No hard feelings.

Just go to places like Ivars who continue to operate as a bar just because they have a restaurant permit.

I'm actually curious on this.
So, Bulldog is supposedly making people spend 50% of their bill on food. I assume this is because your sales must be a certain percentage of food in order to be licensed as a restaurant.
Nobody else is doing this, though. I'm not forced to eat at the other bars that are opening (thank goodness). So are those bars just reporting higher food sales than they actually have? Are they coding drinks in the POS as food items? Seems like customers would notice that on the receipt. Are they just rolling with it and will deal with the slap on the wrist later?

Compared to a normal school year the politicians that are making these decisions are absolutely and without a doubt changing the way certain kids receive an education. Live in or close to a city and your good but travel 40 miles down the road and no one really cares and the color of your skin doesn’t matter.
