As should the Rispone voters who should’ve gone with Abraham.
So, the people who voted Republican twice are to blame for electing a Democrat governor?

JBE has not told schools to close. He has given them the whitehouse guidelines to open up
If your kids school is staying closed, that is on their school board my friend.

No JBE cheerleader here, but I can’t think of anything he has done during this that is more restrictive than the White House task force recs. Maybe I have missed something along the way.
With that said, some of the White House task force recs are garbage.

Shouldn't the same go for negative numbers? Yet he uses one day of numbers to justify alot of his crap.

Do you have a link?
I cannot find anything that references a %
WH reopening

The big question is sill it be another 2 weeks or longer & once that time frame passes will he bump us to phase 3 or just allow bars to open back to a full phase 2
I think bars will be out of luck till the very end this time.

That’s right. There was a time or 2 where it could have been 2 weeks instead of 3.
That is why I am not sure if this next extension will be 2 or 3 weeks.

Is this what you are referencing?
Or is it in the 359 page document?
quote:
In May, the World Health Organization recommended that governments make sure test positivity rates were at 5 percent or lower for 14 days before reopening. A COVID-19 tracker from Johns Hopkins University shows that 33 states were above that recommended positivity as of July 16.
Or is it in the 359 page document?

Its in there, but I'm sure they are using the WHO guidelines as a basis
like I said, they are currently recommending
red = pull back
yellow = stay where you are
green = open up more
that includes cases and positivity rate
all of LA is currently labeled as "red" FWIW

The White House is giving guidelines based on the WHO guidelines?
This document is 2 weeks old

At this point I don’t care what any elected official has to say and the letter that follows their name doesn’t matter. When government gets involved especially at this level the crap never ends and it’s always something else. I don’t want anyone to get sick or die but I’m going to continue to live my life like I have the past 5 months. If I need to wear a mask to go somewhere I will but if not I’m not wearing a mask and I don’t feel bad about it.

maybe
I'm sure they are all kinda piggybacking off each other
read the first line on Alaska and it tells you that green means <5% positivity rate

I know
but LDH is keeping LA updated on their portal
all parishes are currently in the red for cases, but there are a few that are yellow for positivity rate
no greens though

I don’t think they are using the %, that is just referenced in the story as the WHO guideline
The White House guidelines
This particular report is dated 7/14 with notes that case / death data is current up to 7/10 & testing data is current through 7/8
I don’t know how / if more current data would help Louisiana or not

Schools are opening, though. The way they are opening is up to each district.

It is literally referenced in the first line on the Alaska page
"and the green zone for test positivity, indicating a rate below 5%"

I'm not really concerned with that particular report, just the criteria that they are using to classify areas as "red", "yellow", or "green"

Why not let the regions or parishes decide what bars or other places of businesses open or shutdown?
Or how about this.....stay home if you’re at risk and let the rest of the taxpayers keep this economy going??

Here are color code metrics
Green means positive rate under 5 which Alaska is
This is how the task force is tracking states
WHO guideline referenced in story
This from a volunteer organization
“If the test positivity rate is above 10 percent, that means we’re not doing a good job mitigating the outbreak,” said Jessica Malaty Rivera, science communication lead at the COVID Tracking Project, a volunteer organization launched by journalists from The Atlantic. “Ideally we want the test positivity rate to be below 3 percent, because that shows that we’re suppressing COVID-19.”
None of these % are referenced anywhere in the White House reopening guidelines
