That's not good enough. I demand that he call for entire cities to be quarantined.

Well he said we need to quarantine but he doesn’t know how we could do that as a society.

Well he was for quarantine but asked how long we were prepared to go because this will probably last 6 months or so

He also said that the change of seasons will not stop this.

some takes...This is just the beginning. It could be 10-15 times worse than annual flu. Dont take it lightly. Not just old people are going to get sick.

You're contagious about 5 days before any symptoms. Easily transmitted by merely breathing. In other words, a person who has it, with no symptoms, just has to merely breathe to transmit. It doesn't have to be a cough or sneeze.
Don't visit or grandma.

This should be required viewing material before anyone makes a post about the Coronavirus.

That guy lost some of my belief when he said 450,000 people will die in the next 3 or 7 months
Posted on 3/12/20 at 12:08 pm to Higgysmalls
He didn't say "will die"
He said that was the projection if we did nothing

Fact of the matter is that CV19 is mild in the vast, vast majority of under 60. Milder than flu, like the common cold. But it is deadly in the elderly. The majority of people over 60 do recover from it though. Closing schools (k-12 and daycare) will lead to more deaths as people who work leave their kids with their grandparents. If you are under 30 you practically have zero risk from CV19. Working age parents have near zero risk. Keep your kids in school and keep them away from their grandparents for the time being.
China and South Korea have already started their downward trends and less than 5,000 people have died in the 2 countries combined. Less than 10,000 will die in those countries when its all said and done.. If you extrapolate that out for the remaining 5.6 billion people on earth that comes to around 60,000 deaths. Nothing to sneeze at, but not a chicken little situation either.
Remember the media has a vested interest in making you fear. Happy people skip the news, fearful people watch it constantly.

Michael Osterhoim agrees with you FWIW
but he also brought up the strain on the healthcare system that shutting down schools will cause due to the majority of nurses also being parents and having to stay home to watch their kids

both have used pretty extreme quarantine measures (especially China) as well FWIW

Not sure why people think this is a good point

It was pretty good but at one point Joe kind of went off the rails with the persistent questions about saunas. Then the guy basically says there isn't a whole lot you can do to boost your immune system. Joe's response? "What about IV vitamin drips?"
Then the guy tells Joe that probiotics don't really do what they claim in boosting good gut bacteria and Joe goes on to tell an infectious disease expert that they should have done the human trials differently. I hate when he argued with experts about something he has read a few articles on the deep web or some bullshite so he is an expert now too.
