Doing what? The state governors are doing the bulk of the heavy lifting during this. Trump just seems to Tweet all day, then hold a campaign rally disguised as a press briefing every day, all while he does all he can to avoid any responsibility in the crisis.

I'm almost 30. I've been saving for a house for years now baw. No kids yet, I don't do vacations, I dont eat out,no student debt,no cc debt. Im Pretty boring but I watch the money pile up. Maybe I'm closer to 3 years by your model but the point is I could get fired today and be alright till this blows over.

It’s 4 legs good. 2 legs bad.

Then it becomes 4 legs good. 2 legs better.

The relationship and order is important.

Get over your political hang ups. That’s ignorant window dressing meant to distract you.

have you paid attention to the press conferences and guidelines issued by the federal government?
Obviously the states are dictating, but most of the ones affected are following the Fed guidelines.

That’s insane. What incentive is there to work an entry level job if you can make far more than that while staying at home?

Why is there an assumption that most of these laid off workers make minimum or close to minimum wage?

God forbid he not make broad, sweeping edicts based upon isolated incidents and geographies that apply to the largely i impacted rest of the country. I mean that’s what a dictator would do. Are you demanding that trump become a dictator?

You are begging for a Caesar to take power, you just don’t like the guy who would become Caesar right now

Because a lot of these people are service industry workers and laborers. Not all, but a lot. Think the restaurant industry where most waiters and waitresses make less than minimum wage but rely on tips. What’s the incentive for them?

$600 is the federal amount. There is also the state amount. In LA that comes out to around $840 a week

I imagine many in NBR have signed up for this as well so they can do it up big for a couple of months. I see some new Benz lease's on the way.

Exactly. My wife was laid off and after all of the unemployment money we're still short $1500 a pay period. Never mind the fact she's missing out on 401k contributions while laid off.

So while there are some people who are going to be making more there are still those who aren't.

The spleen is wanting trump to do more, order more, mandate more. As opposed to letting individual states make the decisions best for them.

Pretty sure you're not getting the full $600 if you don't already make that much.

I’d be willing to bet most laid off aren’t making more money. But there a lot that don’t make $50,000 a year losing their jobs. They will

Yes you do. Everyone on unemployment gets whatever they qualify for through their state and then everyone gets an additional through the federal government of $600 on top of that through July 31st.

I've watched a couple to see what Fauci and Birx have had to say, but have had to turn them off a few minutes into Trump's remarks. His words and actions just don't instill any confidence in me for his leadership abilities through a crisis. As always, it's all about him and how badly the press treats him. He's #1 on Facebook though!!!
